Jesmonite is an eco_composite material which is flame resistant, hardwearing and heat proof.

The candle holder fits a standard dinner / tapered candle and has a 2.15cm hole, with little ridges to keep it in place.

Spiral candles work too, but usually need to be tapered with a blade to fit into ANY candlestick holder.
